Weight Gain in Pregnancy: Abdominal Crunches
Abdominal crunches can help trim your body as well as lose weight in the process. However, people won’t recommend doing crunches to get over with weight gain in pregnancy. Doing crunches while pregnant may cause trauma to your uterus that can bring harm to your baby.
But most experts say that doing sit ups are safe once you have reached the 20th week of your pregnancy. There are a few precautions though. It is advised that you avoid lying for more than 5 to 10 minutes. Experts say that lying for than 5 to 10 minutes can cause the uterus putting weight pressure on your major arteries and other vital organs that can cause low blood pressure as well as harm to other body parts affected by the pressure. Don’t tire yourself too much since you don’t want harming your baby inside your womb. If you decide to do this regularly, be sure to consult your doctor to be able to monitor your progress as well as other health issues in your body.

Weight Gain in Pregnancy: Breastfeeding
Some women probably neglect this but breastfeeding doesn’t just help your baby grow healthy, it can also help you reduce weight gain in pregnancy. There are studies that say breastfeeding helps the body produce hormones that help return the uterus to its pre pregnancy stage.
However, counting on breastfeeding alone just to lose weight isn’t recommended because there are other factors that can affect weight gain in pregnancy. Stay healthy.
